Pub-Style Comfort Food at Winter Park Restaurants

Randi's Irish Pub

I’m always delighted to discover an Irish Pub when I’m hungry, and as I was eating my way through the restaurants in Winter Park on a recent visit, I was thrilled to find Randi’s Irish Grill & Pub. Comfort food on a winter day always gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling, and I couldn’t wait to order a nice shepherd’s pie.

The shepherd’s pie waited for a day when I realized I could indulge in beer-battered fish and chips. Yes, I enjoyed the food so much I went back. An added plus was the prices. For a resort town, the menu has a variety of reasonably priced food and when you are traveling with family that’s always a good thing.

Great Food in Winter Park Restaurants

You don’t have to be an Irish Pub fan to get a great meal at Randi’s Irish Grill and Pub. The menu has a variety of American favorites as well as Irish and English fare.

If you are in the mood for a burger, beef or buffalo, you can find it here. Want bangers and mash? They have that on the menu as well. For those of you on a gluten free diet, there are options for a meal that you can safely eat. It’s always nice to find a place that caters to clients with individual preferences.

I’d like to offer a friendly hint to those of you traveling with kids. There is a difference between ‘Irish Nachos’ and what they are probably expecting when they order. Unless they are looking for corned beef and sauerkraut over potato chips, steer them to the super nachos on the menu instead. The Irish nachos are tasty, but the look of horror on the faces of the kids when the plate was brought to the table was priceless. The adults enjoyed them and the waiter quickly brought the young ones exactly what they really wanted.

It’s easy to over-eat when the food tastes as good as what you are served at Randi’s Irish Grill and Pub, so look at the desert menu before you order. Don’t miss out on the bread pudding covered in an Irish Whisky caramel sauce. This is another one of my favorites, and I can never pass it up, even when I’ve chowed my way through a hearty meal of fish and chips or shepherd’s pie. Luckily, you have the option of asking for a doggie bag and eating your fill of the wonderful desert selections.
