In early December, the Pikes Peak Area B&Bs will host its 13th annual Bed & Breakfast Holiday Tour. The tour will include historic homes and lodgings, such as Manitou Springs’ Red Crags Bed & Breakfast Inn.

Décor ranges from high Victorian to Victorian country, from Mission style to country cottage. Included are Our Hearts Inn, Cheyenne Canon Inn, Old Town Guest House, Onaledge Bed & Breakfast, Red Crags Bed & Breakfast and the Rockledge Country Inn are some favorite B&Bs in the area.

Our Hearts Inn, a cute pink Victorian house in Old Colorado City, prides itself on being a romantic retreat, starting with the heart-shaped business sign out front. Choose a room with a balcony and a view of the Rockies.

Situated at the entrance to Cheyenne Canon city park in Colorado Springs, the Cheyenne Canon Inn offers seclusion in the city, with easy access to hiking trails, driving tours and natural beauty. Enjoy the view from a hot tub, or from the 100-plus windows in the great room.

The Old Town Guest House was built in 1997, but you’d never guess it. It fits right into the historic district of Old Colorado City, but offers modern amenities, such as conference space and high-tech connections. Voted the best bed-and-breakfast inn in Colorado Springs, the three-story building has floral-themed rooms and iron balconies.

Built by an English architect in 1912, Onaledge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

An English architect built Onaledge in Manitou Springs, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its Arts & Crafts style exudes elegance and the grounds are lovely year-round. For real privacy, check out the Carriage House.

You will have a hard time beating the hilltop view of Red Crags, also in Manitou Springs. Hardwood floors, high ceilings and lovely antiques transport you to another, more elegant, era.

While you are in Manitou Springs, visit Rockledge Country Inn, where stone terraces allow guests privacy even outdoors. The Arts & Crafts estate was built of Manitou greenstone in 1912, probably from a Gustav Stickley design.
