Aloft in Aurora: A Unique Experience

Aloft in Aurora: A Unique Experience 1

There are many reasons that would bring you to Aurora on your Colorado vacation, whether it is for their annual trout fishing competitions or their pumpkin chuckin’ events.  Whatever the reason may be, the city of Aurora has a great deal to offer those looking for a change of pace or scenery.  With a unique culture, it is only fitting that the city has its own unique twist of what a hotel should be, this is where Aloft comes into the picture.

Style and Comfort with a Techno-Chic Twist

As humanity becomes increasingly steeped in technology, it is only a matter of time before the cityscapes start to take on the futuristic look we’ve only dreamed about and seen in movies.  As the technological wave progresses, it should come as no surprise that establishments such as Starwood’s Aloft begin to appear in more and more cities, not just Aurora.

The backyard lounge at Aloft

Blending comfort with a distinct techno-chic appearance, Aloft presents its visitors with a truly unique experience on their Colorado vacation.  When first approaching Aloft, many will find its appearance to be somewhat foreign and strange, as if Ridley Scott and Dr. Seuss had met in a bar and simultaneously exclaimed “Hey! I just had a crazy idea for a hotel!”

The first thing that sets this hotel apart from its competition, and every other hotel in Aurora, is the vibrant coloring that has been chosen to express its character.  Before even making it in the front door, visitors are confronted with a stark white stenciling of the word of “aloft”, somewhat reminiscent of Apple’s iPod/iPhone logo, with an ultra vivid blue and yellow overhang accented by the building’s neon blue and green side lighting.

Upon actually entering the building, guests are faced with neon pink and vibrant purple couches accompanied by sharp angles and high ceilings.  This theme is carried throughout the hotel, as is seen in their neon pink pool tables and bright lime green chairs and open air lounges.

Aloft in Aurora: A Unique Experience 3While this may seem like an optical assault, the actual rooms themselves are relatively contained compared to the rest of the building.  This is done by blending shades of light blue, earthy browns, and soothing tones of beige extenuated by the pure whites used on their plush king and queen sized beds and the sterile, yet soft, appearance of the bathrooms.

Each room comes with a signature platform bed, oversized windows, 42” LCD flat-panel TV, cable programming, wired and wireless internet access points, individual climate control, walk in shower with oversized shower head, and a workspace with ergonomic chair.  In addition to catering to humans, Aloft also has services that are uniquely geared towards pets with their arf(SM) pet program which includes dog beds, bowls, treats, and toys.

Staying Active in Aurora

Aloft has more to offer their patrons than just rooms.  On the main floor guests can mix, mingle, and trade information with other visitors at one of the many hotspots.  For those feeling a bit puckish, the first stop is Aloft’s 24 hour a day Re:Fuel bar, where guests can choose from a number of different tasty morsels covering everything from sweet snacks to healthy tidbits, or the option to mix and match from a selection of food items to create your own unique meal.

At the w xyz(SM) bar, patrons can find more edibles, as well as a variety of different beverages ranging from Coors to Cabernet’s to sip on and relax with.  For those looking to just chill out and take in the Aloft scene, there is the re:mix lounge where visitors can relax, chat, browse the internet, or enjoy a friendly game of billiards on one of their hot pink pool tables.

If staying sedentary isn’t part of your ideal Colorado vacation, Aloft also provides the re:charge(SM) gym where guests can utilize a number of different cardio and strength machines, or one of their many stretching mats.  After burning some calories at re:charge(SM) gym, there is also the splash indoor pool where guest can soak their aching muscles or catch up on the days emails poolside thanks to the wireless internet provided throughout the building.

While all this is fun and exciting, Aloft also finds itself in a prime location for thrill seekers and cultural buffs.  Located close to downtown Denver, Colorado vacationers can take in the many sites the city has to offer, such as the Denver Zoo and the Botanic Gardens, both located 15 miles away.  For those with shopping on their mind, Aloft is located near the Southlands Mall, and is within a short drive of Northfield Stapleton, the Aurora Town Center, and the Cherry Creek Shopping Center.

No matter what activities you have planned, a stay at Aloft is sure to be just as unique as the atmosphere the establishment exudes.
