Just west of Winter Park, the sprawling 6,000 acres of private wilderness is a virtual playground for guests. Lodging

Celebrated for the eco-friendly restorative process, Devil’s Thumb Ranch meets lofty green standards while maintain the integrity of the historic buildings. Able to accommodate up to 200 guests, the ranch is utilized for everything from corporate retreats with spacious meeting facilities and group activities to stunning weddings and private family getaways.

Whether staying in the cabins tucked into the woods or in the spacious suites of the main lodge, the unique antiques, reclaimed wood floors, and beautiful area rugs all pay homage to the surrounding environment and mountain history of the valley. The 16 Deluxe Ridgetop Log Cabins afford ski-in-ski-out access and are comfortable from 2-8 guests. Wood burning fireplaces, geothermal heated floors, and full-sized kitchens leave guests not wanting to return to their own homes after their stay.

All lodging includes access to the seasonal ice rink, heated indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, dry sauna, business center, stocked library and DVD players. Limited complimentary ski passes to Winter Park and SolVista are also available to guests of the ranch on a first-come, first-served basis.

Foodies Rejoice! The Culinary Scene of Devil’s Thumb Ranch

The newly opened Yager House, a tribute to the Ranch founder Rod Yager, embodies all that is Colorado- a wilderness inspired, intimate events space with modern finishes and a love of the culinary arts. Complete with demonstration kitchen, the new facility is home to exclusive Chef demos, insider wine-pairing secrets, and a cooking school.

Fraser is located about an hour and a half west of Denver. Taking I-70- US 40 is the most direct route, with Devil’s Thumb Ranch an additional 10-15 minutes from downtown Fraser.
