Perched at one of the highest points in the United States, Leadville offers scenic beauty and a bevy of mountain activities. For Larger Groups
Grand West is perfect for couples and families, but also has lodgings that can accommodate larger groups as well. For groups of 20, there is the Augusta House: 7A. This mountain house is perfect for those looking to get away to the Rockies for a spring break trip, Colorado style family reunion, or wedding.
The lodge comes with six bedrooms which hold one queen-size bed, 10 twin beds, and four queen sleeper sofas. Equipped with four full bathrooms, a complete kitchen, and a large common area this unit can host a small army. In the common areas, Leadville vacationers will find large bay windows with beautiful views of the mountain terrain and plush leather couches to soak up the scenery.
Another unit that is perfect for larger groups is the Giddy Betsy: 3B. Offering a slightly lower occupancy cap of ten, this unit holds two bedrooms and a loft area. In the two main bedrooms, guests will find two full-size queen beds with shades of teal and fluffy flannel bedspreads. In the loft area of this unit are a queen-size bed and a set of bunk beds.
Sporting exposed beams and bay windows, the Giddy Betsy: 3B is perfect for families looking to have a memorable Colorado vacation.
A third unit that is perfect for larger groups is the Lackawana Lodge: Unit 1C. This unit can hold up to nine people and comes with two bedrooms in addition to a loft area. This unit comes with one king-size bed, one queen-size bed, two twins, a twin sleeper sofa, and a queen-size sleeper sofa.
For Medium-Sized Groups
Grand West offers a number of different rental properties for smaller groups or families looking to get away to the mountains for their Colorado vacation. These units come in the form the Lackawana Lodge Unit: 1D, South Paw: Units 2A & 2B, and Trapper’s Treasure: Units 5A & 5B. Each of these lodging choices can accommodate up to four people comfortably.
The Lackawana Lodge Unit: 1D holds one spacious bedroom with a queen size bed and an additional queen size sleeper sofa in the main living room area. This unit continues the Rocky Mountain lodge theme with exposed wooden beams and panels with shade of teal and mossy green. It also comes outfitted with a full bathroom with tub and separate shower.
The South Paw units promise to be “just what the doctor ordered” for your Colorado vacation. These quaint and comfy units come with one bedroom in addition to loft areas. In the main bedroom, overnighters will be treated to queen-size beds with full bathrooms on the main level. In each of the loft areas are two twin size beds with their own private half bathrooms which make these units perfect for families or road tripping friends.
For Couples
For those looking for a romantic outing in Leadville, the Grand West has two lodges that can accommodate this need. The first is the Lackawana Lodge: Unit 1A. This unit comes with one bedroom complete with a queen-size bed, a full bathroom with tub and shower, and a high efficiency kitchen. With exposed wooden beams and paneling and deep shades of teal, Leadville vacationers and romance seekers will drawn in by the warm and inviting atmosphere.
The second is the Lackawana Lodge: Unit 1D. This unit provides spacious lodging for couples to relax and unwind in. Featuring similar décor to Unit 1A, it comes equipped with a king-size bed, a full bathroom with jetted tub and separate shower, a high efficiency kitchen, and stone fire place.
