The Town of Montrose, Colo. – host to the Stage 2 start of the 2012 USA Pro Challenge cycling race – today announced the “Rally with the Wailers” concert, which will be held on Monday, Aug. 20.
The concert – featuring “reggae on the range” – is hosted by The Bridges Golf & Country Club and will take place on the club’s driving range (2500 Bridges Drive). The doors open at 4:30 p.m. The opening band kicks off the music at 5:30 p.m., and the Wailers take the stage at 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $20 and may be purchased by visiting www.brownpapertickets.com/event/256459. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring a blanket or camping chairs on which to sit. New Belgium Brewing, the official beer partner for the USA Pro Challenge, will be available at the concert, along with various other food and beverage items.
iSponsors – those who sign up for a $50 sponsorship of the USA Pro Challenge – may purchase concert tickets for the discounted price of $15 each. iSponsors also receive a free t-shirt, discounts and free goods all over Montrose during race week. All of the sponsorship money goes toward organizing the Montrose leg of the USA Pro Challenge, which will be attended by thousands and seen by millions of live televison viewers.

The USA Pro Challenge leads 135 of the world’s best cyclists on a race through the Colorado Rockies, Aug. 20-26. Montrose will serve as the Aug. 21 host of Stage 2 Start on Tuesday, Aug. 21.
