Celebrate America’s Independence with a day and evening full of family friendly fun activities, events, and fireworks in Downtown Fort Collins and City Park.
8:00am | Kids fun run at 9:00 | City Park
Eleventh annual running of the Ft. Collins Running Club’s FireKracker 5K, features a flat fast 5K course that runs through City Park and onto City streets before finishing at Sheldon Lake in City Park.
A kid’s fun run with ribbons for all finishers will be run immediately after the 5K. A great way to kick off your 4th of July.
- $23 – Adults (age 15 and older)
- $18 – Fort Collins Running Club members
- $18 – Ages 14 and under
- $30 – Race Day Registration (for all categories)
- Family discount of $1 per member for families of 4 or more

31st Annual Old Timer’s Game

Fireworks at City Park
Dusk | City Park, 1500 West Mulberry St.
Begin at dusk and are shot over City Park Lake. The City of Fort Collins will cap off July 4th by providing spectacular fireworks show presented by Poudre Valley Health System at 9:35 p.m. FREE and open to the public.
No parking will be allowed at City Park Pool or City Park Nine Golf Course. Parking around City Park’s perimeter will be limited.
Free Transfort shuttle service (PDF 2.6MB) will be available to and from the fireworks display from the Downtown Transit Center and CSU Towers parking lot. Catch this from the daytime activities downtown, rides begin at 5:30pm and end at 10:30pm (no pets allowed).
