Join Slow Food Western Slope and the Town of Paonia for our 4th annual Food·Farm·Film·Wine Festival taking place in Western Colorado’s Food & Wine Mecca of Paonia, Colorado!

This event is being brought to you by Fresh & Wyld, the Paradise TheatreDelicious OrchardsOrchard Valley FarmsEdible AspenMad Dog Ranch, the Valley Organic Growers AssociationFirst State Bank of ColoradoAgape Farm, the Merchant Herald and the North Fork Valley Growers!?? We will be highlighting the wineries and farms throughout the North Fork Valley.

This year we will be starting the Festival on August 10 – Friday evening. We will have local chefs pair with local farms to create tastings – you can call it “Taste the Valley”. We will then show the movie Bitter Seeds and have a discussion regarding the impact of genetic engineering in our current food system with the filmmaker, Micha X. Peled!

On Saturday you will have the opportunity to visit and tour various Valley farms – Hillside Acres, Rain Crow Farm, Small Potatoes Farm and Avalanche Cheese Farm & Dairy – and wineries of the West Elks AVA. (You can learn about the farms and their locations here.) Then it’s off to savor mouth-watering, chef-prepared appetizers and wine at our local Paradise Theatre and watch The Greenhorns, a film about America’s young farmers and their dedication to growing food with vision and respect for the earth.  We’ll finish the evening at Fresh & Wyld for a great dinner prepared by Chef Dava Parr and Snowmass/Aspen Chef Tim Durand featuring wonderful local produce.

On Sunday we’ll start at the Paradise with a delectable continental breakfast and view Ingredients, a documentary about farmers and chefs who are creating a truly sustainable food system. Afterwards, we’ll have a Dava Parr-inspired brunch at Orchard Valley Farms with music provided by Mike Gwinn.
