Join us for a unique opportunity on September 11 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. Firefighters and members of the community will come together for a day of fitness and reflection in a truly inspiring setting. Together, we will honor those who sacrificed their lives on September 11, 2001, and help support the families who survived them
The stair climb is an untimed walk aimed at using physical activity to remember the events and people of September 11th. The route is designed to equate to 110 stories, the height of the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers. At Red Rocks Amphitheatre the route begins at the upper south parking lot, ascends the south ramp, and takes participants around nine counter-clockwise laps in the amphitheatre.
This year’s event will be based out of and begins at the upper south parking lot at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. We encourage everyone to carpool in an effort to provide more parking close to the event. Packet pick-up will begin at 0800. The pre-climb ceremony begins at 0846. The climb begins at 0902 following a moment of silence and a performance of Amazing Grace.
This year’s registration fee is $25.00 which includes an event t-shirt, water and drinks during the event, and post-climb refreshments and entertainment.
Can’t make it to the Stair Climb on the 11th? You can still support the cause on September 8th from 6-10 at the Tilted Kilt in Downtown Denver. You can climb the stairs at the event or donate to keep a firefighter on the step mill and raise money for the our charities. There will also be an auction with some great items up for grabs. Make a weekend out of it and come join us.
