Sculpted by three Rocky Mountain Rivers – The North Fork of the Gunnison, the Gunnison, and the Uncompahgre converge in this valley in their race toward the mighty Colorado River. Each river holds stretches that delight anglers and boaters alike. Gold Medal stretches have easy access and remote access both.
West of the City of Delta, Dominguez and Escalante Canyons beckon you to explore their hidden grandeur. Newly designated Wilderness areas protect the river, sandstone and windgate cliffs, and the many sites filled with rock art and other evidence of early man’s enjoyment of this wonderful canyon system.
Delta County is quickly becoming the newest wine region in Colorado. Now with fifteen wineries and 3 tasting rooms this region is known for its high altitude grapes and varietals. From the Chambourcin to the Chardonnay you will find something to please your palate.
Distillers are finding that the fruit and grain grown here is exceptional for their gins, vodkas, whiskeys and other spirits. Tasting rooms are available for these little sips too!
Two 18-hole golf courses call Delta County home and are highly rated for their design and affordability. You can tee off nearly 350 days a year and find packages that make your trip easy to plan. Choose from Devil’s Thumb in Delta or DeerCreek Village in Cedaredge.
Live music can be found in the open air from May until October with live concerts, live music at farm and wine dinners, live entertainment at the Paradise and Blue Sage and in the Parks.
