Historic Hotel Colorado

Welcome to the Hotel Colorado! This hotel may not have a song named after it, but that’s ok.  With a colorful history that reaches back to 1893, this “Grand Dame” has housed a number of notable guests such as former Presidents William Howard Taft and Theodore Roosevelt as well as notorious gangsters like Diamond Jack Alterie.  With accommodations fit for these famous guests, the Hotel Colorado can make for the perfect lodging choice on your Colorado vacation.

Hotel Colorado Common Area
To this day, the Hotel Colorado carries on Walter Devereux’s vision of elegance and comfort.

The Rooms

When Walter Devereux began construction of the Hotel Colorado, he had a vision of elegance and comfort with an Italian Victorian-style atmosphere.  Even to this day, the hotel carries on this vision with its luxurious décor. Glenwood Springs vacationers and guests of the hotel can choose from a number of rooms. The hotel provides a number of options that will fit almost any situation.

There are the Classic Double rooms, which come with two queen size beds.  For those with larger groups, there are the Classic 3 Bed and Premier 4 Bed options.  These options allow for larger groups to rent multi-bed rooms which are connected to each other through a private bedroom making them perfect for larger groups and families.

The true style and elegance of the Hotel Colorado shines best with its suites.  The hotel offers ten suites for people to choose from on their Glenwood Springs vacation.  These are the Ambassador, Bell Tower, Devereux, Executive, Molly Brown, Premier Balcony, Premier Jacuzzi, Premier Parlor, Roosevelt, and Superior Suites.

These premier rooms offer spacious sitting areas accompanied by lavishly deep shades of maroon and Victorian-style couches and a number of exclusive amenities such as large closets, Jacuzzi tubs, and private balconies.
