The Bitter Bar is a modern speakeasy located right in Boulder, Colorado. A quick 25 minute drive from Denver, during the day it’s known as the Happy Noodle House, then at night all the front doors are bolted and the curtain’s drawn and it’s transformed into a modern day speakeasy. To get into the bitter bar you have to find the back entrance, lit but a single glowing blue light, where there is a retractable door knob and a complex entry system. Serving classic 1920s cocktails, the bitter bar is a perfect example of how a classic idea and a little imagination can lead to a world class bar.
